B I G  B A N G  M O S A I C S,  the early days....

When I first started creating mosaics in 2000 I was a children's book illustrator.  Much of my early work was illustrative and graphic. I often used whole vitreous glass tiles (measuring 3/4" square) and many mosaics had a poster like effect. The works shown here are some of my favorites; some were commissions and some were  experiments in the process of learning the medium. I worked solely with vitreous glass for several years and believe being limited to this one material was a great way to truly learn what it has to offer.
